The 2017 Unwritten is a consummate example of a young, fresh Cabernet Sauvignon, that is accessible and enjoyable now but has the density and complexity to evolve into a truly epic wine.The nose is brimming with earthy and warm floral notes of clove, sandalwood, and baking spice. This vintage is not shy; it covers your palate with red and black fruits and is replete with succulent flavors of black cherry, creme de cassis and plum compote. Gorgeous, taut tannins give the wine definition and weight, elongating its already lengthy finish.

Completely balanced Cabernet Sauvigon with dark red fruits and black fruits with some vanilla, smoke and earthy tones. Very long finish that results in one of the best Cabs I’ve had in a long time. Has potential to age for another 5-10 years.
What a rockstar of a Cabernet! A silky body with flavors of plum pudding meld perfectly with notes of clove and nutmeg. The tannins are strong, but well developed to the degree that they don't overpower the palette. Unwritten is a boutique producer, whose goal is to showcase fruit and terroir in homage to the styles of the 1970s. This is a knockout!
New brand, fantastic winemaker and the great thing about 2017’s in Napa - they’re ready now or you could put them down for couple decades. This is a fine outstanding example!
