Curious about each bottle? Additional Winemaker notes:
Capcanes (Mas Picosa Garnacha/Syrah) - A blend of old vine Garnatxa and a modest percentage of younger Syrah, this wine provides freshness and minerality.
Mt Beautiful (Rose) - The 2018 vintage has a delicate sea-run trout pink color with fragrant raspberry and savory aromas. On the palate the wine is dry with a clean fruitiness and crisp refreshing finish.
Sisters Ridge (Pinot Noir) - It begins with sophisticated floral fragrances of violets and blackberries, while showcasing an elegant medium-weight palate that features ripe blackberry fruit, earthiness and subtle tannins.
Julia & Navines (Cava Brut Nature) - Intense aromas of ripe fruit. Structured palate with notes of citrus jam, nuts and hints of fine yeast and brioche.
Quintas de Homem (Vinho Verde) - This wine, produced exclusively from the grape variety Loureiro, presents a bright and citrus color. The aroma is delicate, floral and fruity. It is very elegant and fresh in the mouth with a vibrant acidity.
Versos de Valtuille ("Cepas Centenarias" Mencia) - Intense cherry red color and violet reflections. Clean, bright. With good intensity in nose, where aromas of ripe red fruits appear, combined with mineral touches and black licorice, as well as the presence of smoke and balsamic notes. The palate is structured and unctuous, with pleasant oak leaves. Fresh, balanced, and with good structure.
Bebian ("La Chappelle de Bebian") - La Chapelle Rouge is made from a blend of younger vine Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault planted on clay limestone and sandy clay soils. Each variety is fermented separately in stone vats dating to the 18th century with the Grenache and Cinsault seeing shorter macerations to preserve their fruit and aromas while the Syrah is macerated longer.
Quentin Harel (Morgon "Les Charmes") - Quentin favors a light style via whole-cluster fermentation using indigenous yeasts before levage in neutral vessels, used 400-liter barrels. He bottles unfiltered with low sulfur additions, giving quintessential Cru Beaujolais quaffers with low alcohol, delicious high-toned Gamay fruit, and lovely floral aromatics.
Trinity Hill (Gimblett Gravels Syrah) - Red cherry perfume and intense peppery notes show this as a generous, elegant style of Syrah. There is a whisper of menthol and bright acidity underpinning a concentrated palate and a firm, tannic structure. Great balance and persistance.
Hunt & Harvest (Napa Cabernet Sauvignon) - The nose is layered with black cherry, blueberries and cassis with touches of coco and wood spices. The palate is layered and textured with structured tannins in the mid palate and through the finish. Aging in 25% new French oak barrels adds structure and complexity to the fruit, resulting in a supple, food-friendly wine.
Trinity Hill (Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay) - Theres a very fresh and attractive style to this lemon, pear and grilled-almond chardonnay with a very textural and layered feel to the palate. Such good depth and drive here.
Jean Diot (Extra Brut NV Champagne) 40% Chardonnay, for elegance and finesse, 40% Pinot Noir for body and structure and 20% Pinot Meunier for fruity taste. Expressive on the first nose with citrus fruits and fresh fruits. More explosive on the second nose with spicy evolution (cinnamon, vanilla) and dried fruits.
